Schema before screens: how we slow down to speed up
By Mirei Ashida
We start with a handwritten entity map—not because paper is magical, but because it forces slower edits than drag-and-drop palettes.
Pass two translates that map into a shared glossary tab: nouns, verbs, and the smallest set of statuses that downstream teams can agree on.
Only after the glossary earns a thumbs-up do we mirror it inside the chosen builder, keeping component names boring on purpose.
The payoff is fewer midnight hotfixes when finance discovers a state transition nobody documented.
