Ink on the wall retros: documenting decisions you will forget

By Evelyn Grant

Supporting visual for Ink on the wall retros: documenting decisions you will forget

We hang butcher paper in the Takarazuka studio, limit markers to three colors, and refuse digital copies until the team speaks each decision aloud.

After the room clears, a rotating scribe types the notes into a plain-text log linked from the cohort workspace—searchable, dated, unsigned marketing fluff.

Tags identify which module spawned the decision so future cohorts can trace why a weird default exists.

If a note cannot be tied to a person and a date, it gets deleted; anonymous wisdom rarely survives contact with production.
